Bill Watts was elected Treasurer of the Hopkins County Republican Party on October 1, 2010. As treasurer, Mr. Watts would like to continue the tradition of making accurate and timely reports to the executive committee concerning receipts, expenditures and balances in the general operating fund.
Bill Watts was born in Longview, TX a few years ago and moved to Sulphur springs in 1963. He holds a BBA degree with an accounting major from SMU. He is presently retired from Custom Shutters, Inc, a company which he founded in 1979. His daughter Sara Gibson and her husband Carey Gibson bought the business and continue the management of it. He and his wife, Jo have two grandsons, Jake and Luke Gibson. They have been members at Wesley United Methodist church for 46 years. Mr. Watts is also the Precinct 4 Chairman for Hopkins County Republican Party.
